California Casino's Will Soon Add 17,000 Slots
California can soon call themselves home of some of the world's largest casinos, thanks to voter approval on Super Tuesday's four ballot propositions. Four of the states richest Indian tribes now have the okay to add 17,000 new slot machines to their existing floors.

The tribes weren't the only party that will soon benefit from the approval of the ballot initiatives. WMS Industries closely followed the February 5th vote as the slot machine maker definitely had an interest in the outcome, as they will be fulfilling a portion of the new games.

The result also held a victory for Governor Arnold Schwarzanegger's efforts to use gambling revenues to help reduce the state budget deficit. California isn't alone in wanting expansions, Florida is also expanding some of it's gaming facilities.

Last year Governor Charlie Crist and the Seminole Tribe signed a deal that gives the American Indian Group the right to operate new slot machines in seven of it's casinos in Florida.

Almost 1,000 new Las Vegas style slots have already made their debut at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino. These changes are going to mean big business for WMS and other top slot machine makers.
