Canada Man Suing over Faulty Slot Machine
Imagine if you will that you are visiting a casino and playing the slot machines. You play for a while and all of a sudden your machine hits a major jackpot! You get very excited and wait for officials but when they come they tell you that you did not actually win…you just played on a faulty machine. Well that is what happed to Paul Kusznirewicz of Canada last December and now he is suing.

Paul was playing at the Georgian Downs casino when his slot hit the jackpot for $42.9 million. After officials came over they told Paul that it had malfunctioned and that he had not won the millions in prize money. Instead of receiving a check, Paul got four coupons for the dinner buffet at the casino.

Paul has now gotten a lawyer and papers were served to the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation as of yesterday. Paul’s lawyer says that he should be compensated. The Gaming Corporation states the machine Paul was playing on can only have a maximum payout of $9,025 and that all slot machines have a sign that states how much they pay.

Paul’s lawyer stated in the lawsuit that the maximum prize amount was not posted on his machine. Others in the area did have the information but Paul’s machine did not.
