“Beam me up Scotty!” Precious words to a Star Trek Fan, those incredible people who worship the popular television show by attending conventions all over the world and celebrating the characters of the show’s fame. Trekkies will now have a chance to enjoy their favorite television show via slot machine as Harrah’s Entertainment casinos in Las Vegas have just added the new machines to the casino floor.

Harrah’s Entertainment enlisted the help of WMS Industries to create a Star Trek themed slot machine that their players would enjoy. The game was revealed at last month’s Global Gaming Expo showing the slot machines features. The new game is based on the 1960s television show and features video snippets of the original seventy nine episodes.

It is estimated that one hundred and twenty slot machines were added to Harrah’s casinos in Las Vegas. Players can trigger the bonus round on the slot machines and choose to try for free spins or the interactive bonus. While playing, players will be able to earn Starfleet medals that will unlock the above mentioned Star Trek episodes. The player can then save their status with an ID so when they play again they can pick up right where they left off.
