The Slotland website is a very popular video poker and slot site. They use their website to raise funds for a community center and school that was built in Malawi. They have recently launched another website, help-malawi-children-charity.org, that allows the public to make donations toward the center and school and also surrounding villages.
The school was opened last October in the hopes of raising awareness of AIDS which is rampant in the nation. Two years ago, Slotland was approached by aid workers for a donation for the cause. They not only gave a donation but committed themselves to providing all the construction needs as well as supporting the center.

“We’ve been reporting the progress of the project to our players for two years,” said Slotland’s Martin Smith. “So many people have told us how proud they are of what we’re doing that we provided this fundraising website to give them an opportunity to get more involved and to make personal donations.”
The Project Team of Slotland has also founded the organization boNGO Worldwide. This group helps communities develop self-sustaining projects. The name stands for Based On Need-driven Grassroots Ownership. The group has already helped many children but they are still in need of more food, education and hope. The Slotland website donates every penny to the organization.
